Boarding Kennels/Catteries
January 13th, 2008When planning for an upcoming holiday make sure you plan for your pet’s holiday as well.
In some instances, it may be possible for your pets to stay at home. This can be best achieved by arranging for a friend or relative to live in during the period or organize for a commercial company to provide this service.
Alternatively many dogs and cats spend very happy holidays in kennels/catteries and look forward to going. If you are considering this option, visit the kennels well beforehand to satisfy yourself that the accommodation is up to your expectations and book ahead, especially during popular holiday periods.
Remember to leave any relevant health information such as ongoing treatments, your preferred vet’s contact details, special diet details, etc.
Most importantly, remember that your dog’s vaccination status needs be up-to-date.
Kennels and pet minding services are listed in the Yellow Pages, or get referrals from friends and vet clinics.
Enjoy your holidays knowing your pet is properly cared for!
